SERIES OVERVIEW: The love of God cannot be lost and it cannot be earned. It’s something we receive when we place our trust in Jesus. During this series, we are looking at Jesus’ mission on earth through the lens of a story He told about two sons. In this modern retelling of the Prodigal Son, we will see how Jesus came to rescue us from sin, repair our relationship with God, and restore our purpose of partnering with God in His good plans for the world. Week one will focus on the younger brother who thought he lost God’s love because of all the mistakes he had made. In week two, we will look at the older brother who thought he could earn the love of his father through his good works. In the end, we will see that rightness with God isn’t based on what we do or don’t do. It’s based on His unconditional and extravagant love for us.
