In any ministry—especially kid's ministry—there are often too many rules and policies to keep track of, and it's easy to get bogged down by all the procedures. If and when that happens, take stock of your priorities and bring it to God. If the rules and policies are getting in the way of safe, meaningful ministry, consider changing them. And if there is an instance where you need to bend the rules to preserve a relationship or save a situation, don't be afraid to step outside the lines. Always stay safe and legal, but always balance being by-the-book with being the hands and feet of Christ.
