Here at Life.Church, we’re testing out some new strategies for reaching people in the fall. One of these strategies is throwing a Neighborhood Fall Fest at each of our campuses.
We want to share that strategy with you to help your church reach more people as well!
What is it?
The Neighborhood Fall Fest is a party w
orth throwing to invite
your friends and neighbors to join you during one week of your weekend church services
. (Life.Church campuses will be holding ours
during the last weekend of October.)
Why should we consider doing it?
We want to welcome our friends and neighbors to our church for a fun, family-oriented, fall party so that they connect with one another, our church, and experience first-hand the way Jesus leads our church to love our neighbors.
Who’s it for?
We will focus on creating a festive environment at the campus for families, kids, teens, and young adults who haven’t been to church for a while, or maybe not at all.
How do we do it?
Our campuses will be given promotional materials and
the freedom to throw the best
Neighborhood Fall Fest they can imagine
for their campus
.
Your church might use decorations, fall-themed food, games, and more to create a delightful and welcoming environment in your lobby or parking lot. You can decide how you might engage small groups, missions projects, and your teams to create moments that lead to long-term relationships.
What promotional materials will be available on Open Network?
We’ll provide you with the exact resources we’re sharing with our campuses: banners, signage, invite cards, social media artwork, and a photo backdrop.
Here are a few ideas to get you thinking:
Remember, these are just some fun ideas to get you started. You will know the best way to leverage this event to reach your community.

- Use the opportunity to somehow highlight the work happening through your church in the community at your Fall Fest.
- Kids could get a ticket in their kids classroom and redeem for something at the party or when they come back to church the next week.
- Consider a table with all of your welcome info, upcoming events, fall treats and invites.
- Hot food on theme: chili, corndogs, soft pretzels, nachos, frito chili pie, pumpkin spice anything etc.
- Give-aways: swag, books, vinyl’s, camp-fire coffee mugs, buffalo plaid throws etc.
- Fall treats: s’mores, cotton candy, hot cocoa, apple cider, coffee.
- Treat bags for kids to fill given to them by host/welcome team.
