Family. We all know it can often be challenging and messy, but it’s always worth it. We were created for belonging. That desire is hardwired into our DNA. The kind of belonging we’re talking about is so much more than a cheap, surface-level relationship. We were created to live in relationships with others. Deep, lasting, and meaningful relationships. In short, we were created to be a part of a family. This is why we are so thankful for the opportunity to speak to students about this topic. The Church is the family of God, and everyone is invited to be part of it!
In this one-week series, we discover that as people who have accepted the invitation to be part of God’s family, we are called by God to do good to all people, but especially to those who belong to the family of believers. In Galatians 6, Paul reminds us that being part of God’s family absolutely affects how we treat everyone! But Paul is also challenging us to be especially intentional with other believers by looking out for, supporting, and never giving up on each other. Youth pastors will be teaching live this week so that they can share powerful stories and promote a family feel for the night and for small groups going forward.
