At one point or another, we’ve all found ourselves camped out at the intersection of anxiety and apathy. Constantly shifting demands and distractions invite us to feel overwhelmed, making worry easy and mind-numbing indifference easier. What if it doesn’t have to be that way? What if we are being invited into something bigger, better, more meaningful, and eternal? First though, we have to let go of apathy and move toward action. To become the hands and feet of Jesus.
This month, we’re challenging our students to let go of passive faith and to take a step to become the hands and feet of Jesus. We’re asking them the question: what difference can you make, today? For too long, this generation has been defined as apathetic and anxious. We are pointing them to something and someone eternal– the movement and person of Jesus. We are challenging students to put their faith into action and start being the kind of people who can bring heaven to earth.
